Which air conditioning systems does Cool Stream install?

Cool Stream designs, installs and maintains central plant, ducted and VRV/VRF air conditioning, including ceiling cassette units, for offices, restaurants, retail and industrial sites across the UK. Systems use R410A refrigerant, can use inverter technology to cut energy use by up to 30%, and are pressure tested to BS EN378 by F-Gas qualified engineers.

Air conditioning systems provide and maintain internal air conditions at a pre-determined level, regardless of time of year, season or external atmospheric conditions. Central plant or ducted systems combined with heating, humidification or dehumidification, filtration and heat recovery can achieve almost any pre-set internal condition — ensuring the optimum environment for your application or process, with complete control over distribution and several control strategies available.

VRV/VRF systems provide cooling and heating for large offices and less complex areas, with multiple ceiling-mounted cassette or ceiling-concealed fan units served by a single external condensing unit.

Cool Stream Ventilation employs highly skilled engineers to ensure air conditioning and ventilation equipment is maintained to the highest possible standards. Our preventative maintenance programmes are tailored closely to the requirements of our clients in terms of environment, type of equipment and budget. We operate across every market sector and maintain every type of air conditioning system, including cassettes, chillers, air handling units and close control systems — working with the main suppliers in the industry to source spares quickly and at competitive prices.

EU F-Gas Regulation

Compliant by design, not by accident

Our engineers are qualified to current industry standards to ensure air conditioning plant is professionally monitored and maintained, and that our clients comply with the EU F-Gas Regulation. Under the regulation, users carry the legal liability to ensure refrigerant does not leak and is recovered properly during servicing and replacement, in order to limit refrigerant emissions.

We implement all measures in accordance with the best available techniques to reduce the relative loss of refrigerant to below a maximum of 5%. Used refrigerant not intended for re-use is dealt with as waste for safe disposal. As a contractor we know that fixing leaks is just treating symptoms — we advise on future refrigerant strategies and carry out full system analysis to protect customers against equipment breakdowns, regulatory penalties and rising energy costs.
